Whether you're selling your device, switching to a different account, or simply aiming for a fresh start, this blog will guide you through the step-by-step process of removing a Google account from your Android phone.

Step 1: Access the Settings Menu
Navigate to the Settings menu on your mobile device. You can usually find it in your app drawer or by swiping down on the notification shade and tapping on the gear-shaped icon.

Step 2: Locate and Select "Accounts"
Under the Settings Tab, Tap on Sync in the Accounts section.

Step 3: Choose the Google Account to Remove
On the Sync screen, Scroll down and Tap on Google.

Within the "Accounts" section, you will find a list of all the accounts linked to your Android phone. Look for the Google account you wish to remove and select it from the list.

Step 4: Remove the Google Account
I am choosing my Gmail id jaythan.royan@gmail.com, which I want to remove.

On the bottom of the screen, tap the More button, then hit Remove account.

Step 5: Confirm the Removal
A confirmation prompt will appear on the screen, asking you to confirm the removal of the Google account. The prompt will inform you about the consequences of removing the account, such as the loss of associated data, contacts, emails, and app-related information. Take a moment to review the information and ensure that you have backed up any crucial data. If you're certain about removing the account, tap "Remove Account" to proceed.

For security purposes, you will be required to enter your device's PIN, password, or pattern to confirm the removal of the Google account. Enter the credentials associated with your Android phone.
Congratulations! The Google account has been successfully deleted from your Android phone. You will no longer have access to the associated Google services, such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos.
